New at Sylvan Learning Centers of Scottsdale: one-on-one tutoring

The Scottsdale Sylvan Learning Centers continue to offer outstanding small group tutoring. In addition to this service, the centers are now offering 'one-on-one tutoring'.

School Contracts

During the 2011-2012 school year, the Scottsdale Sylvan Learning Center provided the Ace It! Powered by Sylvan tutoring program to Vista Verde Middle School, Palomino Intermediate School and Greenway Middle School in the Paradise Valley Unified School District and Supai Middle School in the Scottsdale Unified School District. This year Scottsdale Sylvan is currently in negotiations to contract with schools in the Scottsdale, Paradise Valley and Phoenix school districts.

SAT Sunday Class

We are currently offering a small group SAT course on Sundays. This course starts Sunday, January 13th and will be held every week ending on Sunday, April 28th. The course is a 52 hour program and it is held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sundays. There is a special price break for this program.

ANNUAL CONFERENCE AWARDS:

At the 2012 National Sylvan Conference there were three awards given to the Scottsdale Centers:

• Platinum Award Territory Excellence
• Top 10 College Prep Revenue
• Top 20 List for Highest Territory Revenue/No Ace it!

At the 2011 National Sylvan Conference there were four awards given to the Scottsdale Centers:

• Best Return to Active Territory
• Top 10 College Prep Revenue
• Top 10 Math Revenue
• Platinum Award - (Territory Excellence Award)

According to Doug Grindstaff, Vice President of Franchise Growth and Services, the 2010 National Sylvan Conference held in Nevada, during the week of August 30 to September 3, gave the national corporation a chance to recognize the outstanding achievements of the many talented professionals in the Sylvan Learning Centers. These professionals work hard on a daily basis to impact positively the life of each Sylvan student. He stated, "The nominees and winners are chosen from a globally diverse pool of franchisees after careful review and discussion of their considerable accomplishments. These individuals represent the finest that Sylvan has to offer."

QUALITY ASSURANCE REVIEW:

Sylvan Learning Corporation conducts Quality Assurance Reviews on all Sylvan Learning centers. The purpose of the Quality Assurance Review is to ensure that the guidelines for all Sylvan programs are properly implemented and adhered to according to the prescribed Sylvan standards.
